As the head of the merchandising department at this company, this role is instrumental in steering the development and implementation of our strategic merchandising initiatives. The individual will oversee the department's financial health, tracking key metrics such as Gross Margin Return on Investment, Selling and Administrative expenses, Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA), market share, operational costs, and inventory turnover.

Our client is a manufacturing enterprise with an 80 year history, renowned for developing, producing, and selling high-end connectors. The current manufacturing general manager in China needs will back to his country soon, therefore, they are seeking an executive manager to take over his position and continue group's expanding strategy in China and Asia.

The role will own full P&L responsibility, heading the business in all commercial aspects, drive accelerated growth and manage teams. You will work closely with the internal department Directors to define and execute business strategy and team management strategy. You will support all disciplines in strategically translating clients' branding, value or service into creative solutions through innovative thinking and business execution.

Our client is a worldwide player in automotive and industrial solutions ranging from additives to lubricants. They pride themselves in creating future-ready products and great services for partners around the globe. They operate in more than a hundred countries, servicing the passenger automotive and heavy-duty vehicles.

This role is responsible to research and analyse the advanced technical trends of Automobile industry, with focus on technology landscape in China. This needs active exploration of Chinese technology suppliers including start-ups to explore new opportunities from business and technology perspective. Ensure early integration into development portfolio and potential collaborations.
