This position reports to Head of Commerce, covering raw and white sugar sales, merchandising and origination in China.

Our client is an international group in the trading of raw and white sugar with strong presence and reputation in the industry.

Job Description

  • Cash Premium Trading: To collect and analyse market information and judge cash premium long/short level and decide long short level and volume.
  • Marketing: To sell physical sugar to customers such as end users and wholesalers national wide. Sales will be conducted on a fixed price basis or an unpriced basis and continue to monitoring customers' pricing intention and orders.
  • To sell raw and white sugar to importers in China.
  • Origination: To buy sugar from millers/refineries & taking delivery from exchanges to fulfil customers demand.
  • To contribute ideas on daily and weekly basis in futures and physical basis trading game plan discussions. Backup person for futures G/P execution.
  • To Coach junior staffs including new comers, trade execution team, monitoring execution of physical contract.
  • To coordinate with treasury/risks management team to manage A/R and C/P risks management.

The Successful Applicant

  • University graduate, fluent in written and oral skills of English.
  • At least 3 year's sales work experiences at least in food/beverages or commodities trading background (1-5 years will also considered.)
  • Commodity trading experiences preferred.
  • Analytical skills on cunstomers' demand.
  • Negotiation skills and inter-personal skills with internal and outside.
  • Wide and strong relationship network in food/beverages industry.
  • Ability to handle challenge and pressure from work on a daily basis, independent thinking and decision making ability.
