Reporting to Country Manager, this role is focused on driving market share and revenue growth across retail channel. You will be working with key retailers and distributors in China to implement retail strategies & business plans to deliver regional goals.

About Our Client

Our client manages the entire wine supply chain - from grape to glass, with employees in almost every continent around the world. Their China business is under fast-growing stage and now set up the team almost from scratch.

Job Description

  • Develop new national (no less than 5 in year 1) & regional customers (no less than 8 in year 1) across off-trade retailers and liquor chains, via direct / indirect models.
  • Grow penetration of distribution in off-trade channels across retailers and liquor chains (incremental listings in 1000+ Point of Sales in year 1).
  • Grow existing direct sales retail performance (no less than 20% YOY volume growth), develop & execute channel activation plans by working with Trade Marketing Manager to effectively drive store rotation.
  • Generate customer price quotations, trade terms, and take ownership of Distribution Agreement generation.
  • Consolidate and track depletions, forecasts, shipment forecast planning on monthly basis, ensuring retail customers monthly depletion and inventory holding in a healthy position.
  • Have ownership of sales orders, consolidate progress and report on weekly basis.
  • Achieve monthly & yearly shipment budget-Volume, net sales & profitability.
  • Create and execute comprehensive customer JBP plans with key accounts and distributors.
  • Emphasis is placed on high levels of customer service, industry & product knowledge & sales negotiation.
  • The changing dynamics of the market requires that this position be well informed on key issues and developments across both this customer base and the industry.
  • Manage trading term compliance



The Successful Applicant

  • Strong retail industry acumen, having direct contacts of national & reginal KA chain buyers.
  • Solid knowledge of OTO (instant retail) & new retail dynamics and operations (past working experience in OTO platforms / new retail / retail background is preferred)
  • Strong business/financial acumen, familiar with core business tool of value chain & P&L.
  • Strong communication, negotiation & influencing skills.
  • Strong strategic planning skills in order to develop initiatives (sales drivers) to achieve targeted results.
  • Self-driven in Character, and strong planning & organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Language: Mandarin (native) & English (as working language).
