Our client is a global industrial technology manufacturer with multiple sites across Asia and a workforce of more than 1,000 employees. The Asia region includes large manufacturing operations and smaller satellite offices.

Job Description

  • Oversee end-to-end HR strategy and operations for multiple Asia locations, including a major China site and Southeast Asia sites
  • Lead, coach, and develop local HR teams, ensuring alignment with global HR strategy
  • Manage HR transformation initiatives, including HRIS implementation and process optimisation
  • Partner directly with the Global HR Head/CPO on strategic people topics
  • Drive employee engagement, organisational effectiveness, and cultural integration
  • Strengthen compliance and risk management across all countries in scope
  • Support compensation & benefits projects, working with external consultants where needed
  • Provide guidance to developing markets and oversee HR operations, including regular travel
  • Enhance capability building and drive improvements in labour relations, people development, and site HR maturity

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven regional HR leadership experience in manufacturing or similar environments
  • Strong understanding of China HR practices and exposure to Southeast Asia labour environments
  • Successful track record in HR transformation, HRIS implementation, and post-divestiture integration
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on operational leadership
  • Strong communication skills with fluency in English and Mandarin
  • Cultural sensitivity, resilience, and a practical approach to solving people challenges
  • Experience managing HR across multi-country operations and matrix reporting environments
