Job Description

  • VAT Management: Oversee and execute the end-to-end process of VAT refund claims related to fixed asset purchases in relation to the large-scale equipment exports.
  • Tax Compliance: Manage all aspects of China's domestic tax filings, including Corporate Income Tax (CIT), VAT, and Surcharges, ensuring full compliance with the State Taxation Administration (STA).
  • Tax System: Maintain and manage the Tax System for the Company
  • Government Relations: Act as the primary liaison with local tax bureaus to facilitate smooth audits, inspections, and "pre-filing" consultations for major transactions.
  • Incentives & Optimization: Identify and implement tax incentive programs for the Company

The Successful Applicant

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certifications: CTA (Certified Tax Agent) or CICPA (Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants) is mandatory.
  • Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of tax experience in China, including at least 3-5 years in a managerial role. Experience in large multinational trading or manufacturing companies is preferred. Background in the mining, resources, or commodities sector is a strong advantage.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of China's VAT "Exemption and Refund" (ER) mechanism and Input VAT Retainment policies. Strong hands-on experience in export tax rebates, especially for mineral products, raw materials, or commodity exports, is required.
  • Language: Native Mandarin with professional proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
  • Project Experience: Proven track record in managing tax matters for large-scale capital investment (CapEx) projects.
