Job Description

Background & Experience

 

  • Experience in market research, industry studies, trading-related roles, or commercial positions within commodities, energy, chemicals, metals, battery materials, or adjacent industrial sectors
  • Strong knowledge in at least one of the following areas:
    • China crude oil and refinery system
    • Aluminium industry (electrolytic aluminium, anodes)
    • Carbon materials or silicon industries
    • Battery and new energy materials value chain
  • Familiarity with industrial customers and B2B commodities markets in China



Skills & Capabilities

 

  • Solid quantitative and qualitative capabilities, with the ability to turn market data into practical commercial insights
  • Strong industry curiosity and willingness to gain in-depth exposure to industrial processes and value chains
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced trading-oriented environment, contributing to real commercial outcomes rather than purely academic research
  • Good communication skills; capable of clearly presenting market views and findings to traders and management
