About Our Client

Our client is a fast-growing consumer hard-tech robotics company. The company has completed core product development and early commercialization validation, and is now entering the next stage of overseas market expansion.

As part of its global strategy, the CEO plans to prioritize investment in overseas online sales and marketing growth, while building offline channels in parallel. The company is now looking for a China-based Chinese executive with strong overseas 2C business experience to lead its global online sales business from 0 to 1 and scale it globally.

Job Description

1. Build and scale overseas online sales business

  • Own the overall strategy and execution of the company's overseas 2C online business, including DTC website, Amazon and other overseas marketplaces;
  • Develop online sales strategies to drive traffic acquisition, user conversion, order growth, repeat purchase and revenue expansion;
  • Take direct ownership of key business metrics, including GMV, revenue, ROAS, CAC and conversion rate;
  • Build the overseas online sales funnel and optimize the full journey from user acquisition, content engagement and site conversion to order completion;
  • Develop differentiated online growth strategies for key markets such as North America, Europe and APAC.



2. Manage DTC website and marketplace operations

  • Lead the overseas DTC website strategy, including site operations, user experience, conversion rate optimization, membership and data analytics;
  • Manage Amazon and other third-party marketplace operations, including product listings, advertising, reviews, promotions, platform campaigns and inventory coordination;
  • Build standardized operating processes for overseas ecommerce platforms to improve efficiency, conversion and sales performance;
  • Work closely with supply chain, product, customer service, logistics and finance teams to ensure strong user experience, order fulfillment and business health;
  • Continuously analyze competitors, consumer feedback and platform data to inform product iteration, pricing strategy and marketing execution.



3. Drive online marketing growth and sales conversion

  • Oversee overseas digital marketing, performance marketing, paid media, social media, influencer / KOL marketing, affiliate, SEO / SEM and other growth channels;
  • Design integrated growth campaigns across content, media buying, influencers, reviews, social media and PR, with a clear focus on sales conversion;
  • Collaborate with the existing overseas brand creative director to ensure brand content, product messaging and online sales objectives are aligned;
  • Lead go-to-market strategies for new product launches, including market positioning, pricing input, marketing calendar, platform strategy and communication plan;
  • Build a data-driven growth system to continuously improve marketing efficiency, customer acquisition cost and conversion rate.



4. Build team and drive cross-functional collaboration

  • Build the overseas online sales, ecommerce operations, growth marketing, content and marketplace teams according to business stage;
  • Manage external agencies, influencer resources, media partners and platform partners;
  • Work closely with the CEO, product, R&D, supply chain, finance and offline channel teams to achieve overseas business goals;
  • Establish business dashboards and review mechanisms to continuously improve ROI and online business performance;
  • Play both a strategic and hands-on execution role during the company's early global expansion stage.

The Successful Applicant

Experience background

  • Background of the consumer electronics and smart hardware industry;
  • 10+ years of experience in overseas online sales, ecommerce growth, marketing, international business or related functions;
  • Proven experience managing overseas markets while being based in China;
  • Strong exposure to 2C consumer goods, consumer electronics, smart hardware, robotics, sports and outdoor, smart wearables, fitness equipment or relevant sectors;
  • Experience building overseas online business from 0 to 1 is strongly preferred.



Capability requirements

  • Deep understanding of overseas 2C business models, including DTC website, Amazon, marketplaces and cross-border ecommerce;
  • Proven ownership of commercial metrics such as GMV, revenue, P&L, ROAS, CAC or conversion rate;
  • Ability to drive online sales growth while integrating brand content, media performance, ecommerce operations and customer acquisition;
  • Familiarity with major overseas acquisition channels, including paid media, social media, influencer marketing, SEO / SEM, affiliate, PR and content marketing;
  • Strong data-driven mindset and ability to optimize marketing spend and sales conversion through analytics;
  • Proven experience in team building, cross-functional collaboration and agency management;
  • Fluent in both Chinese and English, with strong cross-cultural communication capability.



Preferred candidate profile

  • Prior experience in 2C business models rather than pure B2B, industrial, medical or project-based sales;
  • Able to build overseas online business from 0 to 1;
  • Capable of covering online sales, growth marketing, ecommerce platforms, brand conversion and team management;
  • Not a pure brand creative, PR, corporate communications or platform operations profile.
