As part of a global finance and tax function, the business is committed to maintaining strong tax governance, effective risk management, and high compliance standards while supporting commercial objectives Job Description Description Oversee and manage all direct and indirect tax compliance activities for China entities, including corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, stamp duty, local surcharges, and related filings. Ensure timely tax payments, statutory submissions, and compliance with internal policies and local regulatory requirements. Manage tax audits, inspections, and enquiries from tax authorities, coordinating with external advisors and internal stakeholders. Provide tax advice and analysis on business transactions, operational changes, and strategic initiatives. Support tax accounting and reporting requirements under IFRS, including current and deferred tax calculations, forecasts, budgets, and cash planning activities. Partner with finance and transfer pricing teams to ensure compliance with transfer pricing policies and local regulations, while monitoring operating margins and tax risks. Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess potential business impacts, providing practical recommendations to stakeholders. Conduct tax research and support tax planning initiatives in accordance with company policies and risk management frameworks. Assist in implementing tax strategies, controls, and governance frameworks across China operations. Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, consistency, and compliance across tax-related activities. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Economics, or related disciplines. At least 7 years of relevant tax experience gained in multinational corporations, professional services firms, or a combination of both. Solid knowledge of China corporate tax, indirect tax, tax reporting, and transfer pricing requirements. Experience handling tax authority audits, compliance reviews, and tax risk management matters. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities. Able to work independently while collaborating effectively across regional and global teams. Strong communication skills in both Chinese and English. Experience with ERP systems and tax reporting tools is advantageous. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills preferred.
