R&D Director (Rechargeable Battery)

1. Technology Development & Product Innovation

• Define and execute R&D strategies to enhance rechargeable battery products and processes
• Manage new product introduction (NPI) from concept to mass production
• Explore and implement innovations across battery chemistries (e.g., NiMH, NiZn, Lithium-based systems)

2. Technology Roadmap Ownership

• Establish and drive mid-to-long-term battery technology roadmap aligned with business strategy
• Translate customer needs and market trends into actionable development priorities
• Continuously monitor industry trends to identify new opportunities and enhancements

3. Customer & External Engagement

• Act as key technical interface with customers, managing technical discussions and solution design
• Pre-sales, technical proposals, and customer qualification activities
• Build relationships with external partners, research institutes, and industry stakeholders

4. Cross-functional & Manufacturing management

• Work closely with manufacturing, quality, and commercial teams to accelerate product commercialisation
• Drive process optimisation, and technical problem-solving
• Scale-up and industrialisation from development stage to mass production

5. Project & Performance Management

• Manage cross-functional R&D and customer projects with clear deliverables and timelines
• Monitor project performance, resource utilisation, and cost efficiency
• Drive cost improvement through design-to-cost and process improvement initiative
