As the Quality Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the quality control process in our retail furniture brand. Your primary focus will be to establish and maintain quality standards and procedures, ensuring that our products meet or exceed customer expectations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and purchasing, to identify areas of improvement and implement effective quality management strategies.


  1. Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure consistent product quality throughout the manufacturing and retail processes.
  2. Monitor and evaluate the quality of raw materials and components used in the production of furniture items, collaborating with suppliers to address any quality issues.
  3. Conduct regular inspections and audits of production facilities to ensure compliance with quality standards and industry regulations.
  4. Lead and manage a team of quality control analysts and inspectors, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure a high level of productivity and accuracy.
  5. Analyze customer feedback, complaints, and returns data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions to prevent quality issues from recurring.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives, such as process optimizations, technological advancements, and supplier performance enhancements.
  7. Coordinate with design and production teams to review product designs, specifications, and manufacturing processes to ensure quality requirements are met from conception to delivery.
  8. Stay updated on industry practices and advancements in quality management, incorporating relevant changes into the company's quality control processes.
  9. Prepare and present reports and metrics on quality performance to senior management, highlighting areas of improvement and recommending action plans.


  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  2. Proven experience (at least 5 years) in a quality management role, preferably within the retail furniture industry.
  3. Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  4. Familiarity with industry quality standards, regulations, and certifications (e.g., ISO 9001).
  5. Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team towards achieving quality objectives.
  6. Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose issues, develop solutions, and implement effective corrective actions.
  8. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex quality concepts to various stakeholders.
  9. Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
