Job Description

1. Strategic Communication Leadership



  • Develop and implement a comprehensive global corporate communication strategy that aligns with the company's vision, mission, and business goals, adapting to regional market nuances while maintaining a unified brand voice.


  • Lead crisis communication planning and execution, serving as the central point of contact for media, stakeholders, and internal teams during emergencies, ensuring timely, transparent, and consistent messaging to protect and restore brand reputation.


  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and stakeholder sentiment to identify opportunities and risks, adjusting communication strategies proactively to maintain a competitive edge.



2. External Communication & Media Relations



  • Manage all external corporate communication channels, including press releases, media statements, corporate website content, and social media platforms, to build positive media relationships and enhance brand visibility.


  • Serve as the primary company spokesperson, representing the brand in high-profile media interviews, industry conferences, and public events.


  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers globally, ensuring balanced and accurate coverage of the company.



3. Stakeholder Engagement



  • Develop targeted communication strategies for diverse stakeholders, including investors, partners, government bodies, and community organizations, to build trust and strengthen collaborative relationships.


  • Collaborate with the investor relations team to align corporate communication with financial reporting and investor outreach, ensuring transparency and consistency in messaging to the investment community.


  • Lead communication initiatives for corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs, highlighting the company's commitment to sustainability, ethical practices, and community impact.



4. Team Management & Operational Excellence



  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing global corporate communication team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and professional development.


  • Manage the department budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to support communication initiatives and maximize return on investment.


  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies, providing regular reports to the executive team on progress and outcomes.

The Successful Applicant

1. Education & Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.


  • Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate communication, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a global retail, consumer goods, or related industry.


  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful global communication strategies, including crisis management and stakeholder engagement.



2. Skills & Competencies



  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, compelling messaging for diverse audiences.


  • Strong media relations experience, with a network of contacts in global and regional media outlets.


  • Demonstrated expertise in crisis communication, with experience navigating high-pressure situations and protecting brand reputation.


  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable communication plans.


  • Proficiency in communication tools and analytics platforms, including social media management tools, media monitoring software, and CRM systems.


  • Strong cross-cultural competence, with experience managing teams and executing strategies across multiple global markets.
