About Our Client We are seeking an experienced expert to drive the end-to-end development and commercialization of digital currency-based payment and settlement solutions. Joining a global organization that operates industry-wide financial settlement networks and transaction infrastructure, this role will shape strategic initiatives across digital currency, cross-border settlement, and emerging financial technologies. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities related to CBDC, smart contracts, and next-generation payment infrastructures, while supporting the evolution of future payment and settlement ecosystems across a complex international industry.***This is a project-based consultant role, starts from a10-12-month rolling contract. Job Description Define and execute the overall strategy for digital currency and settlement initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs. Manage the full lifecycle of digital currency payment and settlement projects, from concept design, pilot launch, and implementation through to large-scale operational rollout. Own product development and evolution, including business case creation, roadmap planning, delivery, commercialization, and continuous optimization. Build and manage partnerships with key stakeholders across regulatory bodies, central and commercial banks, technology providers, financial institutions, and industry partners. Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, governance standards, cybersecurity frameworks, and AML/KYC controls. Assess and develop new business opportunities in areas such as CBDC, cross-border payments, digital settlement infrastructure, and smart contract applications. Drive operational excellence and scalability of mission-critical financial platforms and services. The Successful Applicant 10+ years of experience in financial technology, payments, digital banking, settlement infrastructure, product management, or related fields. Proven experience managing large-scale financial technology platforms or payment/settlement solutions in a production environment. Hands-on experience with digital currency ecosystems, CBDC initiatives, payment networks, clearing & settlement infrastructures, or related innovations is highly desirable. Demonstrated success in taking products or platforms from pilot stage to commercial deployment and ongoing operational optimization. Strong understanding of cross-border payments, financial systems, operational governance, risk management, and service operations. Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior executives, regulators, financial institutions, and strategic partners. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees are preferred.
