Lead the development and implementation of operational strategies aligned with global business goals, focusing on scaling production capacity, reducing operational costs, and improving time-to-market for electronic components tailored to automotive, data center, and medical industries. Drive operational excellence through the adoption of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives, eliminating waste, optimizing processes, and enhancing overall operational resilience and profitability. Manage and develop a high-performing operations team, including plant managers, production supervisors, engineering leads, and quality assurance teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and talent development. Ensure strict compliance with industry-specific regulations (automotive: IATF 16949; medical: ISO 13485; data center: relevant industry standards) as well as local labor, environmental, and safety laws, mitigating operational risks and maintaining brand integrity. Collaborate closely with sales, R&D, and global supply chain teams to align production plans with customer demand, manage inventory levels, and ensure on-time delivery of high-quality electronic components to key clients in automotive, data center, and medical sectors. Monitor key operational KPIs (production efficiency, defect rates, on-time delivery, cost per unit, safety metrics) and provide regular reports to the global executive team, identifying bottlenecks and implementing data-driven solutions to drive performance improvements. Lead operational transformation initiatives, including the integration of new technologies (e.g., automation, digital manufacturing) to enhance plant productivity, flexibility, and competitiveness in rapidly evolving markets. Build and maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders, suppliers, and regulatory authorities, ensuring smooth operations and supporting long-term business growth in the China region. The Successful Applicant A successful Chief Operating Officer (COO) should have: Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA is highly preferred. 15+ years of progressive operational leadership experience in the electronic components manufacturing industry, with at least 5 years of experience as a senior executive (COO, Plant Director, Regional Operations Director) overseeing multiple manufacturing plants (3-4 preferred) in China. Proven track record in managing operations for electronic components serving automotive, data center, and medical industries, with deep knowledge of industry-specific quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 13485) and customer requirements. Strong expertise in operational optimization, lean manufacturing, supply chain management, and production scaling; experience with digital transformation and automation in manufacturing is a significant plus. Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to inspire and lead large teams, drive change, and align diverse stakeholders around common goals. Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making and a focus on delivering measurable business results. Fluent in English and Mandarin (both written and spoken); ability to communicate effectively with global executive teams and local plant teams. In-depth understanding of China's manufacturing landscape, regulatory environment, and market dynamics; experience navigating complex supply chain challenges in the region is essential.
