Job Description Manage category by ensuring high quality, innovation, and supply market intelligence across spend areas. Develop and execute professional Category Strategies for assigned spend categories within regional and local scopes. Consolidate requirements and demands in category management from plants and markets as input for global category strategies. Execute professional tenders (RFx), establish and negotiate contracts according to the defined sourcing strategy. Perform Contract and Supplier relationship management, including supplier development and innovation. Build working relationships with key stakeholders, other category teams, suppliers, and external partners. Lead strategic sourcing projects to secure goods, works, and services that meet customer needs while ensuring value for money and compliance with relevant policies and procurement legislation. Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager in support of departmental goals. The Successful Applicant A successful Category Manager should have: Excellent social competence and strong communication skills globally. Strong negotiation skills and holistic thinking. Intercultural competence and profound knowledge of procurement processes and standards. Comfortable in a fast-moving and changing environment. Motivator and excellent in teamwork. Ability to build relationships, influence, and act as an expert across the organization up to Management level. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Management preferred. 10+ years of experience in a similar position (Category Manager) with expertise in Mechanical Trading Goods, Turning & Milling, Plastic Parts, Bearings, Springs, Fasteners, Switch & Buttons, Packaging, Printing Materials, Production Materials, C-Parts. Experience in Strategic Procurement and Supply Chain Management. Experience in contract and supplier relationship management. Experience in executing professional tenders and category management.
