Job Description

  • Define and drive the overall automation and smart manufacturing roadmap aligned with business strategy
  • Manage the design, development, and implementation of automated production lines, equipment, and systems
  • Oversee automation standards, technical specifications, and practices across plants
  • Evaluate, select, and manage automation technologies, vendors, and system integrators
  • Optimise manufacturing processes through robotics, PLC/SCADA, vision systems, MES integration
  • New product introduction (NPI) from an automation and manufacturability perspective
  • Improve OEE, cycle time, labour efficiency, and production stability through automation initiatives
  • Build and develop a high‑performing automation and engineering team, including capability development and succession planning
  • Ensure automation solutions meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or automation, with at least 5 years in a senior management role
  • Strong hands‑on and strategic experience in factory automation, robotics, and industrial control systems
  • Solid knowledge of PLCs, motion control, industrial networks, machine vision, and automated assembly/testing systems
  • Proven experience in large‑scale automation or smart factory projects from concept to mass production
  • Strong lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience in metal processing, precision manufacturing, or high‑volume industrial production is highly desirable
  • Strong communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Able to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and drive change across multiple sites
  • Fluent English required
