Job Description

  • Conduct daily fundamental analysis and forecast-specific supply & demand (short & long term)
  • of major grain products, such as soybean, corn, wheat & barley.
  • Responsible for forecasting grains tradeflows for China, Asia & Pacific region. Develop & maintain industry models to support freight trading strategies.
  • Assist with the business development and strategic activities through the provision of detailed
  • insightful market analysis.
  • Work closely with commercial desks and the broader research team to identify trading
  • opportunities.
  • Lead and contribute to global research projects as required.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum of 5-8 years experience in commodities research, with a pre-existing solid contact
  • network within agricultural commodities markets.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is essential.
  • Able to work under pressure and with tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Excel & other Microsoft Office applications (Word, Powerpoint etc.).
  • Candidates with a proven track record of knowledge in Chinese grains markets, or with prior
  • experience in a trading/ marketing role will be considered favourably.
