Job Description Team Management:* Manage the local sourcing, merchandising / follow-up and administration team of the China office..* Ensure operational integration with the Head of QC China team based in the office, including space, resources.* Carry out performance evaluations and career plans for the team under their work plan* Manage leave requests and holidays.* Attract, train and retain local talent in a labour market.Production follow-up:* Supervise the daily status of ongoing orders: samples, materials, pre-production, production and shipment.* Ensure compliance with the Critical Path milestones for each reference.* Anticipate and manage on-site operational issues, including delays, material shortages and capacity constraints, with sound judgement.* Escalate to headquarters only those requiring strategic or commercial resolution.Relationship with existing suppliers:* Act as the group's main point of contact with the supplier panel in China.* Maintain relationships with factory owners, merchandisers and agents.* Coordinate technical visits by Product, Design and Quality teams when they travel from Spain.* Participate in performance evaluation and annual business reviews with suppliers.Sourcing and development of new suppliers:* Identify and propose new factories aligned with the group's strategy and criteria.* Manage initial visits, operational evaluations and approval processes, in coordination with the Head of QC China for the technical side.* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Chinese textile industrial landscape and its dynamics, including capacity, costs, trends and risks.* Monitor changes in local regulation and trade relevant to the operation.Compliance, logistics and administration:* Supervise export documentation and customs compliance.* Coordinate shipment planning with freight forwarders and transport agents.* Manage the local administration of the office, including legal, tax, human resources and Chinese regulatory compliance matters.* Ensure that suppliers' social and environmental certifications remain valid, including BSCI, SEDEX, OEKO-TEX and equivalent standards.Institutional representation:* Represent the group before local authorities, chambers of commerce and industry bodies when required.* Participate in trade fairs and events in the Chinese textile sector that are relevant for sourcing.* Build and maintain a network of institutional contacts to the operation. The Successful Applicant * Provide weekly reporting to the Production and Quality Director on the status of the operation, risks and pending.* Prepare monthly performance, initiatives and action plan reports: OTD, manage time, supplier scorecard, new approved suppliers and operational efficiency.* Manage the office operating budget and report on its execution.* Participate in Production and strategic area reviews with headquarters.
