PageGroup partnered with sHero on the Leading DEI Best Practices Guide, its inaugural bilingual guide in Asia. Launched on November 28, the guide brings together Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) strategies and practices from over 30 well-known enterprises in various industries around the world. As more MNCs and local companies work to embed DEI values into their company culture, there is no better time to manifest this intention. We hope this guide will act as a catalyst to make corporate China a more inclusive place to work.

Yuki Chen, Managing Director at PageGroup, spoke at the online launch event and shared some core content from the guide. “There are many challenges to overcome on the journey of DEI. One of them is the lack of professional knowledge and proper guidance on involving and engaging more people.”

The guide curates the best DEI practices from different industries such as manufacturing, financial insurance, FMCG, healthcare, pharmaceutical and consulting, collectively showcasing their tireless efforts in building better organisations and enhanced employer branding in the past ten years. According to recent data, more and more companies are accelerating their pace in adopting a diverse and inclusive culture, particularly encouraging women to pursue leadership roles. There has been much progress, and we have already seen positive impacts in all areas.

In the upcoming annual offline event, sHero will present awards such as “2021 Best Leading DEI Company” and “Remarkable Leader in DEI”. Based on comprehensive evaluation of four dimensions (well-being, belonging, influence and inclusiveness), the awards intend to recognise companies and individuals who are leading DEI efforts in China and inspire companies who aspire to become more inclusive places for work.
