The Evaluation Manager at our skin care cosmetics company is a key contributor to both innovation and launched projects. This role is responsible for providing crucial support for skin care claims through consumer testing and sensory evaluation. Reporting directly to the global R&D department, the Evaluation Manager will closely collaborate with both global and local R&D teams to ensure product excellence and market success.

Our client is a long history and global well-known skin care group with multiple brands in China and more coming. In order to further meet consumer needs in China, they are setting up new R&D functions in China.

Job Description

1. Consumer Testing:
* Develop and implement consumer testing protocols to validate skin care claims, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
* Analyze consumer feedback and data to provide actionable insights for product optimization and innovation.
* Oversee the execution of consumer studies, including recruitment, data collection, and analysis.
2. Sensory Evaluation:
* Lead sensory evaluation activities to assess product attributes and user experience, leveraging expertise in skin care cosmetics.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product formulations based on sensory feedback.
* Utilize sensory data to drive continuous improvement and differentiation in the market.
3. Project Participation:
* Actively participate in both innovation and launched projects, providing evaluation support throughout the product development lifecycle.
* Contribute evaluation insights and recommendations to project teams to enhance product efficacy and consumer satisfaction.
* Support project timelines and deliverables to ensure successful product launches.
4. Collaboration and Communication:
* Work closely with global R&D teams to align on evaluation strategies and objectives, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
* Engage with local R&D teams to address regional market needs and preferences, ensuring product relevance and success.
* Present evaluation findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels, including global leadership and project teams.

The Successful Applicant

* Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cosmetics Science, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in consumer testing and sensory evaluation within the skin care cosmetics category.
* Knowledge of skin care product formulation, ingredients, and claims.
* Fluent English speaking and strong communication skills are essential.
* Efficacy evaluation experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
* Proven ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional team environment.
* Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
