Job Description Category Strategy & Strategic Sourcing Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with business priorities, manufacturing requirements, and long-term investment plans. Evaluate market trends, supplier capabilities, and sourcing opportunities to support category objectives. Drive supplier selection processes, competitive bidding activities, and sourcing decisions across capital expenditure categories. Support sourcing initiatives that improve competitiveness, operational efficiency, and supply continuity. Deliver sourcing strategies that balance cost, quality, risk, and business requirements. Supplier Management & Commercial Negotiations Develop and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers across equipment and technology-related categories. Lead commercial negotiations covering pricing, payment terms, contract conditions, and total cost of ownership. Monitor supplier performance and support continuous improvement initiatives. Assess supplier capabilities, capacity, and long-term suitability in support of business needs. Contribute to supplier development and supply continuity programs. Supply Risk & Business Continuity Identify and mitigate sourcing risks through structured supplier management practices. Support supplier footprint optimization, dual sourcing, and localization initiatives where appropriate. Evaluate supply market conditions and capacity constraints to protect business operations. Develop contingency plans to support supply assurance and operational stability. Partner with stakeholders to manage risk throughout the sourcing lifecycle. Contract Management & Commercial Governance Develop and manage commercial agreements and contractual frameworks. Ensure sourcing activities comply with company policies and commercial governance requirements. Support contract negotiations and implementation of commercial terms. Manage supplier-related contractual risk and performance expectations. Maintain appropriate sourcing documentation and governance processes. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, operations, finance, and project teams to support equipment sourcing projects. Align sourcing strategies with project objectives and operational requirements. Facilitate stakeholder discussions and support informed decision-making. Contribute to project planning and execution across multiple functions. Support initiatives that create value through standardization, value engineering, and process improvement. The Successful Applicant Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree or above. 10-15 years of experience in procurement, supply management, engineering, or related manufacturing environments. Experience as a plant buyer, corporate buyer, category manager, or strategic sourcing professional. Proven experience managing sourcing activities for capital equipment, manufacturing equipment, or industrial automation-related categories. Experience working within multinational and matrix organizations. Strong understanding of sourcing strategy development and supplier management practices. Technical & Commercial Expertise Experience in contract drafting, contract management, and commercial negotiations. Strong understanding of total cost of ownership principles. Familiarity with industrial automation equipment, manufacturing technologies, or production equipment sourcing. Knowledge of supplier relationship management and strategic sourcing methodologies. Exposure to e-sourcing tools, RFQ processes, and competitive bidding activities. Mechanical or electrical engineering knowledge would be beneficial.
