Job Description

  • Lead hydrometallurgy‑based battery recycling research, including process design, technology scouting, and early‑stage industry research aligned with global scientific teams.
  • Build and manage a new R&D laboratory from the ground up, including equipment selection, installation, commissioning, modeling, and operational management.
  • Conduct experiments, process validation, material testing, and sampling to support technology development and scale‑up.
  • Collaborate closely with global chief scientists and internal stakeholders across business, marketing, and commercial teams to translate technical insights into business impact.
  • Prepare technical reports, project proposals, and technology evaluations to guide strategic decisions.

The Successful Applicant



The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree or PhD in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or a related engineering discipline, with at least five to six years of hands‑on experience in hydrometallurgy, battery recycling, or wet‑process materials recovery.

Excellent communication in both English and Chinese, strong stakeholder management capability, and a clear sense of career direction are essential. The candidate is collaborative, curious, and motivated by the opportunity to help build a new technology platform and eventually grow into a leadership role.
