Job Description The Regional Director, Biosimilars Business Development will serve as an opportunity originator, primary negotiator and partner-facing deal driver, focusing on identifying and securing commercially attractive biosimilar opportunities originating from the region. Key responsibilities will include: Identify, originate, evaluate and secure biosimilar licensing and partnership opportunities with potential for commercialization across global markets. Proactively engage with biosimilar developers, biotech companies and strategic partners to build a strong pipeline of external opportunities. Drive initial commercial discussions and negotiations and work closely with transaction teams on commercial proposals, term sheets and definitive agreements. Evaluate potential opportunities from a commercial, strategic and financial perspective, supporting robust forecasting and portfolio decision-making. Develop a strong understanding of regional pricing, reimbursement, market access, competitive dynamics and regulatory pathways to assess the commercial attractiveness of opportunities. Build and maintain strategic relationships with biosimilar developers, licensing partners, investors, advisors and other industry stakeholders. Track emerging biosimilar developers, CDMOs and pipelines relevant to the company's global biosimilars strategy. Represent the organization at partnering conferences, industry events, investor meetings and regional business development forums. Monitor global biosimilar trends including competitive developments, regulatory changes, reimbursement, market access and emerging technologies. Support broader biosimilar portfolio strategy and long-term business planning in partnership with global and cross-functional stakeholders. The Successful Applicant Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Business or a related discipline; MBA is preferred. Approximately 10-12 years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience, including at least five years within biosimilars or biologics business development and licensing. Strong track record of originating, evaluating, negotiating and executing licensing, co-development or strategic partnership transactions. Deep understanding of the global biosimilars landscape, including development pathways, regulatory requirements, IP considerations, commercialization, pricing, reimbursement and market access. Established external network across biosimilar developers, biotech companies, licensing partners, investors and industry stakeholders. Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience evaluating business cases, forecasts and potential transaction structures. Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across international and multicultural organizations. Entrepreneurial and proactive approach, with the ability to independently identify and develop new business opportunities. Ability to travel internationally and represent the company with senior external stakeholders.
