Job Description

Product development

*Manage development team, deal with development of lighting products and technical platforms.

*Define technical roadmap based on technology trend relevant to lighting industry.

*Identify and work with technical partners according to the product roadmap and technical roadmap.

*Continuously improve product development process and capability of development team.

*Manage the team to ensure on-time release of new products per required specification and cost, including the following key areas:

Manage intenal resources and coordinate external partners to ensure high quality development and on-time release of new products.

Continuous improvement of new product development process.

Mechanical design, thermal management, and optics verification.

Manage the selection & qualification of electronic driver, electronic components, including sensors, lighting controls, etc.

Reliability verification: According to the design specification, conduct reliability verification and check improvement solution, when required.

New products ramp up: work with production team on pilot production;

Documentation: Creation, confirmation, and updating of product design documents.

*Act as technical representative of the company, attend technical seminars organized by APAC lighting association and standards organization. Increase the influence of the company in the formulation of lighting standards in APAC countries.Product certification & laboratory management

*Manage the lab team for testing activities, improve lab procedures and standardization.

*Manage certification team, manage geographic coverage & effectiveness and costs of certificaitions. Activities include certs application & maintenance, factory audit, etc, to meet the legal and regulatory requirement of target markets.

The Successful Applicant

*Familiar with mechanical design, the electrical tools, optical performance, and lighting control of lighting products; Expert in using design software such as Solidworks,AutoCAD, etc;

*Familiar with the luminaire mechnical design, and standards of the lighting industry;

*Know how drivers, controls, and optical system of lighting products;

*Experience in R&D team management, project management;

*Lighting background is a plus;
