Job Description

Lead the design and optimization of therapeutic peptides, peptide-drug conjugates (PDCs), and constrained macrocycles using structure-based and AI-driven approaches.

Drive peptide sequence optimization to improve potency, selectivity, stability, solubility, permeability, and overall drug-like properties.

Design and execute structure-activity relationship (SAR) strategies in collaboration with medicinal chemists, computational chemists, and biologists.

Apply molecular modeling, docking, and pharmacophore analysis to understand peptide-target interactions and guide molecular design.

Partner closely with synthesis teams to support peptide synthesis, analog design, and reaction optimization.

Contribute to drug discovery programs from hit identification through lead optimization and preclinical candidate selection.

Work with US-based scientific teams to develop innovative concepts into patentable inventions, intellectual property, and pipeline assets.

Present scientific findings, project updates, and strategic recommendations to cross-functional and global project teams.

Apply expertise in small molecule drug design to support cross-modality innovation and peptide therapeutic optimization.

The Successful Applicant

PhD in Medicinal Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline.

5-10+ years of industry experience in drug discovery with a strong track record in structure-based drug design and lead optimization.

Strong background in medicinal chemistry and small molecule design; experience in peptide drug discovery is highly desirable.

Deep understanding of molecular recognition, protein-ligand interactions, and modern drug discovery principles.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in highly collaborative, multidisciplinary teams.

Fluent English communication skills, including scientific presentation and technical writing.
