Job Description Act as the technical expert for handbag construction, sample development, and production execution. Evaluate design feasibility, construction complexity, and manufacturing risks throughout product development. Partner with design and product development teams to ensure products are commercially viable while maintaining design intent. Support prototype and sample development to improve accuracy, quality, and speed to market. Assess supplier technical capabilities across materials, hardware, construction, and finishing processes. Drive supplier performance improvement through capability development and structured problem-solving. Identify and mitigate technical and production risks during product development and manufacturing. Improve sample execution efficiency and reduce development lead-times. Manage product costing activities and support commercial negotiations with manufacturing partners. Develop and validate detailed cost breakdowns to improve transparency and cost control. Drive value engineering initiatives to balance quality, cost, and manufacturability. Support cost competitiveness analysis across factories and sourcing locations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and ensure successful product launches. Maintain alignment on quality, delivery, and production standards across supplier partners. The Successful Applicant Proven experience in handbag product development within premium or fashion-related industries. Strong technical knowledge of handbag construction, materials, hardware, and finishing techniques. Experience working with manufacturing partners and supplier technical management. Familiarity with product costing, value engineering, and commercial decision-making. Ability to assess development risks and provide practical manufacturing solutions. Experience supporting sample development and production execution. Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and quality requirements. Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills. Effective communication and influencing skills in a matrix environment. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience working with international teams is preferred. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Fluent English communication skills are preferred.
