To lead and manage all Capital Projects, Facilities, Infrastructure Development, and Capacity Expansion initiatives across all business verticals, including Lead Acid Batteries, Lithium-Ion Batteries, Solar Inverters, and other emerging technologies. The role is responsible for planning, executing, and commissioning projects within approved timelines.

Job Description

1. Strategic Project Leadership

  • Develop and execute the long-term manufacturing infrastructure and capacity expansion roadmap.
  • Align project initiatives with business growth plans and strategic objectives.
  • Drive productivity improvement, capability enhancement, and cost optimization initiatives.

2. Greenfield & Brownfield Project Management

  • Lead end-to-end execution of Greenfield manufacturing projects.
  • Manage plant expansions, modernization, and capacity enhancement initiatives.
  • Ensure timely commissioning and smooth operational handover.

3. Project Planning & Execution

  • Prepare Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), feasibility studies, investment proposals, and business cases.
  • Define project scope, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Monitor project progress through milestone reviews and implement corrective actions where required.

4. Facilities & Central Maintenance Management

  • Lead Central Maintenance activities across all manufacturing facilities.
  • Ensure optimum equipment reliability through preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Manage utilities, infrastructure, statutory compliance, and facility operations.



5. Cost, Quality & Schedule Management

  • Deliver projects within approved budgets and timelines.
  • Establish effective project governance, contractor management, and quality assurance mechanisms.
  • Drive value engineering and continuous cost optimization.

6. Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Select, negotiate, and manage EPC contractors, consultants, equipment suppliers, and service providers.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, R&D, HR, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships to ensure seamless project execution.

7. Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental, and safety regulations.
  • Promote best-in-class EHS standards across all project sites.
  • Manage regulatory approvals, permits, and legal compliances related to projects.

8. Technology & Capability Development

  • Introduce advanced manufacturing technologies and modern project management practices.
  • Build future-ready manufacturing capabilities in Battery Storage, Energy Solutions, and Power Electronics.
  • Develop internal competencies in project and facility management.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • PMP or equivalent Project Management certification will be an added advantage.
  • 15-20+ years of experience in Manufacturing Project Management and Facilities Leadership.
  • Proven expertise in Greenfield/Brownfield projects within Battery, Electrical, Electronics, Renewable Energy, Automotive, or Industrial Manufacturing sectors.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering large-scale capital projects within budget, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Strong leadership and ownership mindset
