The business is involved in the execution of large-scale power transmission and distribution projects and continues to expand its project delivery capabilities through strong supplier partnerships and supply chain excellence. Job Description Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of project materials and equipment. Monitor manufacturing progress, production schedules, inspections, testing activities, dispatch status, and site delivery requirements. Manage supplier communication regarding technical approvals, drawings, commercial milestones, and purchase order execution. Organise vendor meetings, factory visits, inspections, FAT activities, and third-party quality assessments. Track material status and proactively identify potential schedule risks, delays, and supply chain bottlenecks. Support vendor qualification, evaluation, and onboarding activities for new suppliers. Collaborate with engineering, procurement, logistics, quality, and project management teams to resolve technical and commercial issues. Monitor supplier performance, delivery commitments, and corrective action plans. Maintain detailed reporting on material status, procurement progress, supplier performance, and project milestones. Support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement, vendor management, and project delivery processes. The Successful Applicant Education Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline. Experience 8-12 years of experience in supply chain expediting, procurement, vendor management, or project procurement. Strong experience within EPC environments supporting Power Transmission & Distribution projects. Hands-on involvement with HV/EHV substation projects and associated equipment procurement activities. Experience working directly with Chinese manufacturers and electrical equipment suppliers. Technical Knowledge Good understanding ofHV/EHV transmission and substation equipment, including: Power Transformers GIS and AIS Systems Power Cables and Conductors OPGW CT/PT/CVT Circuit Breakers Isolators Surge Arresters Busbars Protection & Control Systems Skills & Competencies Strong supplier management and stakeholder coordination capabilities. Solid understanding of procurement, manufacturing, inspection, testing, logistics, and delivery processes. Ability to manage multiple suppliers and project priorities simultaneously. Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills. Proactive problem-solving approach and attention to detail. Fluent Mandarin and good English communication skills. Vendor & Market Knowledge Strong understanding of Chinese and international manufacturers within the power transmission and distribution sector. Familiarity with supplier capabilities, manufacturing processes, production cycles, and delivery planning. Ability to build effective working relationships with suppliers and project stakeholders.
