Job Description Manage product engineering activities for new product development and existing product improvement projects Coordinate engineering, quality, operations, purchasing, and supply chain teams to ensure project objectives are achieved. Support the execution of APQP processes, including design reviews, risk assessments, validation activities, and production readiness reviews. Work closely with customers to understand technical requirements and provide engineering support throughout the project lifecycle. Oversee product development schedules, engineering changes, cost targets, and quality deliverables. Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards and customer-specific requirements. Support prototype builds, testing activities, PPAP submissions, and production launch activities. Drive problem-solving activities and implement corrective actions related to product and process performance. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The Successful Applicant A successful Product Assistant Manager should have: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 8+ years of experience within the automotive or construction machinery wiring harness industry. Experience in product engineering, product development, or engineering project management. Good understanding of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and automotive quality systems. Familiarity with wiring harness products, electrical distribution systems, connectors, terminals, and related manufacturing processes. Experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
