Our client is building a new hardware engineering team in Shenzhen to develop next-generation smart access control and IoT devices for the global market. This role will take ownership of mechanical design from concept through mass production, working closely with international engineering and product teams.

About Our Client

Our client is a fast-growing US technology company specializing in smart building access control, AI-enabled security, and connected IoT solutions. The company is expanding its engineering capability in Shenzhen to support global product development and manufacturing operations

Job Description

  • Lead mechanical design and development of smart hardware products.
  • Create 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and product documentation.
  • Drive enclosure, mechanism, thermal, and structural design activities.
  • Work closely with EE, firmware, product, and manufacturing teams throughout the development cycle.
  • Conduct design validation, reliability testing, and design optimization.
  • Support EVT, DVT, PVT, and mass production activities.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure product quality and manufacturability.
  • Identify and resolve design and production challenges to meet project milestones.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Strong expertise in plastic, sheet metal, die-casting, and mechanical assembly design.
  • Proficiency in Creo, SolidWorks, or similar CAD platforms.
  • Experience working through the full product development lifecycle from concept to production.
  • Familiarity with DFM, DFA, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills.
  • English communication skills preferred.
