About Our Client

This role is with a company in the industrial and manufacturing industry, located in Shanghai.

Job Description

· Develop, expand, and maintain strong relationships with relevant government authorities, industry associations, and external stakeholders in alignment with the company's strategic targets.

· Leverage government relations channels to drive business development, project implementation, and long-term corporate growth.

· Identify and create mutually beneficial opportunities with government bodies, including opportunities for positive corporate exposure and brand enhancement.

· Monitor and interpret relevant policies, regulations, government initiatives, and industry developments to identify opportunities and potential risks for the company.

· Coordinate internal and external resources to applications for government funding, policy , and other favorable policy-related opportunities.

· Track key government and industry activities, events, and initiatives, and ensure the company's participation where appropriate.

· Identify and leverage opportunities to enhance the company's visibility, reputation, and influence with relevant government stakeholders.

· Provide government affairs during business situations, regulatory investigations, or crisis management scenarios.

· Crisis communication planning and execution, including public monitoring, messaging development, stakeholder coordination, and continuous improvement of communication strategies.

The Successful Applicant

· Bachelor's degree or above; fluent English communication skills are required.

· Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in government relations, public affairs, corporate communications, public relations, or related functions.

· Experience in a relevant industry is preferred.

· Solid knowledge of government operations, policy-making processes, and stakeholder engagement mechanisms.

· Strong government network and proven experience engaging with authorities such as SASAC, Economic and Information Technology Commissions, Development and Reform Commissions, or similar government bodies are highly preferred.

· Excellent communication skills, coordination, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.

· Strong business acumen, political, adaptability, and ability to effectively to complex situations.

· High integrity, sincerity, passion, resilience, and strong personal credibility.

· Strong problem-solving, judgment, observation, and project management capabilities.

· Ability to coordinate across different departments and teams to ensure the smooth execution of communication, public affairs, and PR activities.
