Job Description Global Commodity Strategy Develop and execute global commodity strategies for semiconductor and electronic component categories. Monitor market trends, technology developments, capacity constraints, and supply risks. Build category roadmaps that align with business, engineering, and operational requirements. Identify opportunities to improve supply resilience, cost competitiveness, and supplier performance. Support long-term sourcing initiatives across multiple regions and business units. Supplier Management & Commercial Negotiation Manage strategic supplier relationships with global semiconductor and component manufacturers. Lead commercial negotiations covering pricing, contracts, capacity allocation, and long-term agreements. Evaluate supplier capabilities, technology roadmaps, and investment plans. Drive supplier performance improvements across quality, delivery, innovation, and cost objectives. Ensure alignment between supplier strategies and business priorities. Team Leadership Lead and develop a global commodity team located across multiple countries and regions. Manage and mentor both local and international team members, including non-Chinese employees. Promote collaboration, accountability, and knowledge sharing across the team. Establish priorities and governance processes to ensure consistent execution of sourcing strategies. Support talent development and succession planning within the commodity organization. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with Engineering, Program Management, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Regional Procurement teams. Support new product development and production programs through proactive supplier engagement. Participate in executive discussions related to sourcing strategy, supply chain risk, and business continuity. Drive alignment among internal stakeholders with differing priorities and requirements. Facilitate decision-making through clear communication and data-driven recommendations. Risk Management & Supply Continuity Develop mitigation plans for supply shortages, geopolitical risks, capacity constraints, and market disruptions. Monitor supplier financial stability and operational performance. Lead escalation management for critical supply issues affecting production and customer commitments. Strengthen business continuity planning across strategic electronic component categories. Support regional and global risk management initiatives. The Successful Applicant A successful Commodity professional should have: Strong knowledge of procurement and supply chain principles in the industrial and manufacturing sector. Proven experience in supplier management and contract negotiation. Ability to analyse market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Proficiency in relevant software and tools for procurement activities. A results-driven approach to meeting business objectives.Required Experience Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Electronics, or a related discipline. Extensive experience in global procurement, commodity management, or strategic sourcing within a multinational manufacturing environment. Proven experience managing a global commodity team. Strong sourcing experience covering semiconductor and electronic component categories. Demonstrated success managing international teams, including non-Chinese employees. Experience operating within a matrix organization and influencing senior stakeholders globally. Leadership & Personal Attributes Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
