Job Description Monitor and analyze physical and futures markets, identifying price trends, market structure changes, liquidity developments, and trading opportunities. Develop and maintain a strong network of industry contacts, including brokers, counterparties, producers, consumers, and market analysts, to obtain timely and actionable market intelligence. Collect, interpret, and synthesize qualitative and quantitative market information into clear insights regarding supply-demand dynamics, market risks, and opportunities. Conduct analysis of market fundamentals, pricing structures, trade economics, policies, inventories, logistics, and macroeconomic developments affecting metals markets. Prepare regular market reports, presentations, trading updates, and ad-hoc analyses for traders and senior stakeholders. Track and explain key market drivers, such as transportation disruptions, weather events, policy changes, inventory movements, and positioning activity. Support the trading desk with execution-related activities, including trade capture, order management, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. Monitor execution quality and identify potential issues related to timing, pricing, or operational processes. Assist in maintaining compliance with internal controls, risk management frameworks, and relevant regulatory requirements. Provide trading desk support during periods of high market activity and assist with trade flow management when required. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline. Minimum 4 years of experience in commodities trading, brokerage, market research, analytics, or a related market-facing role. Strong understanding of metals, commodities, or financial markets. Demonstrated ability to build and leverage industry relationships to generate valuable market intelligence. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret market data, assess fundamentals, and evaluate commercial opportunities. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to transform complex information into clear and actionable insights. Advanced Excel capabilities and familiarity with market data platforms, trading systems, or analytical tools. High attention to detail and strong numerical aptitude. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a fast-paced trading environment. Professional-level English communication skills.
