Operating accross multiple locations in China, they are seeking a Shanghai based talent to lead strategy and operations of the R&D Centre. Job Description Fulfill the company's mission and strategic objectives by advancing assets through pre-clinical and early clinical development. Formulate and supervise the overall research & development strategy of the company including all phases of discovery, preclinical and early clinical development. Supervise key discovery experiments and development processes to advance company's pipeline programs towards the envisioned preclinical and clinical development milestones. Establish research priorities, resourcing and scientific outcomes to achieve the company's strategic goals and objectives. Supervise the interactions with external academic, biotech and contract research organizations (CRO), engage external research environment and establish collaborations consistent with internal strategies. Mentor and develop direct R&D reports, oversee and supervise the company's IP portfolio for its R&D pipeline. The Successful Applicant 15 - 20 years of relevant experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, including senior level leadership experience. Prior experience in the field of immunology and metabolic disesases is preferred In the early stage of the career, experience from project initiation to completion of PCC, and after the management position, bringing 2-3 innovative drug products from project initiation all the way to IND PhD, PharmD or similar degree in a life science field from an accredited institution required with strong biology exposure Prior experience building out drug discovery capabilities and overseeing a drug discovery team desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to effectively communicate concepts and ideas to technical and non-technical audiences. Effective interpersonal skills. Prior experience with establishing and advancing industry partnerships strongly desired.
