A multinational consumer goods company is seeking an experienced Vice President of Operations to oversee the end-to-end production management of seven manufacturing facilities across China, the United States, and Mexico. The role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, cost efficiency, and global coordination.

Job Description

1.Global Factory Operation Coordination

*Develop and implement overall operational strategies and annual plans for the 7 global factories, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and delivery cycles align with Group requirements.

*Monitor key operational indicators (production, equipment, workforce, quality, on-time delivery) in real-time, promptly resolve cross-regional collaboration issues, and ensure the global production network operates efficiently and stably.

2.Efficiency Improvement and Cost Control

*Lead the promotion of lean manufacturing, automation upgrades, and process optimization projects, replicating good practices across all factories to achieve annual production efficiency increases and unit cost reduction targets, while upholding product quality standards.

*Identify cost-saving opportunities through operational data analysis, set cost-reduction targets for each factory, and track execution to ensure alignment with Group financial objectives.

3.Team and Organizational Development

*Select, develop, and manage regional factory leaders and core management teams, establishing cross-regional talent exchange and development mechanisms. Foster a culture of quality excellence and commitment to delivery within the operations team.

*Drive organizational change and process optimization to enhance internal management efficiency and strengthen cross-regional team collaboration, fostering a high-performing and cooperative organizational culture.

4.Risk Management and Problem Solving

*Identify and address potential risks in global supply chains, regional policies, and production operations; develop contingency plans and adjust operational strategies promptly to mitigate impacts on production output and product quality.

*Lead the resolution of major operational issues at each factory (including those related to production quality and delivery) to ensure the successful achievement of annual operational goals.

5Compliance Management

*Ensure all factories comply with local labor, environmental, and industry regulations in the U.S., Mexico, and China, adhering to both local laws and Group compliance standards. This includes strict adherence to all quality management system requirements (e.g., ISO) mandated by the Group or local regulations.

The Successful Applicant

*10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations management, including at least 5 years in cross-country/regional factory management.

*Proven experience in managing multiple factories, with a successful track record in improving production efficiency, reducing costs, or optimizing supply chains.

*Proficient in operational management methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, capable of independently lead efficiency improvement and cost optimization projects.

*Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.

*Excellent global perspective and cross-cultural team leadership abilities.

*Results-driven with strong resilience under pressure.

*Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).

*Fluent in English.
