My client is a comprehensive pet services platform and an integrated pet ecosystem. The main business is pet healthcare service with more 1000+ animal hospitals. Driven by advanced technology, the group is taking the dominant position in the pet market.


This position reports to the President &CEO and is responsible for defining IR strategies and programs on behalf of the company. In addition, this role will be expected to contribute to the following areas:

- Proactive Investor Communications: The VP of IR will serve as one of the key interfaces with investors/shareholders and the buy- and sell-side communities. A long-term goal of the function is to strengthen and broaden shareholder interests, including targeting specific constituencies based on investor preferences and the company investment thesis. In addition, the role in this position will be a key contributor to the over-arching strategy supporting all investor activities.

- Strategic Investor Relations Programming: The VP of IR will develop investor relations goals and objectives, as well as detailed programs. The role in this position will manage the messaging, content development and outreach of strategically driven programs targeted to the investment community. In addition, the key to the overall IR function's success is the management of existing investor relationships and to actively pursue the expansion of the shareholder base through active targeting and marketing and this professional will be a key contributor to this.

- Strategic Investor Relations Counseling: The VP of IR will partner with internal and external constituents to assure adherence to SEC regulations and maintain compliance with NASDAQ surveillance on financial reporting issues; remain current on trends in the market/market opinions, attitudes and reactions to company issues and provide strategic recommendations on investment, operating and financial decisions to senior management; observe media coverage about the company and advise the Executive Leadership Team if there are any issues that need to be addressed from an investor and financial markets corporate brand perspective.


- A Bachelor's degree is required in business or finance; an MBA degree with concentration in finance, a CPA or CFA would be advantageous, although comparable work experience is acceptable.
- Ten or more years of broad-reaching, finance-driven investor relations experience - preferably with publicly held companies or a combination of experience in the capital markets/corporate finance coupled with senior level investor relations experience. Investment Banking/Wall Street related experience highly valued.
- A solid understanding of how marketing plays a role in investor relations, is a prerequisite.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to craft and communicate a compelling narrative for the investment community;
- Expertise in building models and understanding the metrics behind stock valuation and value creation.
- Prior experience with high-level responsibilities and executive contacts is expected, along with a demonstrated understanding and communication of complex business issues and market dynamics.
- A proven track record and demonstrated ability in appropriately influencing the thinking of others to effectively lead and evolve the investor relations function to support advancing future business initiatives, is required.
- A proven, successful track record in developing and managing highly credible relationships with Wall Street and analysts is critical, as is an astuteness about positioning and marketing a company with the financial markets worldwide.
- Strong experience in all stages of growth with specific expertise in the preparation for and process of an IPO is desired.
- Experience with mergers, acquisitions and partnering activities, a strong reputation with the investor's community
- Experience working with hedge fund, mutual fund, crossover funds, possess the skills to communicate the company's story to investors
