Job Description

  1. Supplier Quality Management:
    • Develop and implement supplier quality strategies to ensure that all incoming materials and components meet company's quality requirements.
    • Conduct regular supplier audits and assessments to evaluate supplier performance and identify areas for improvement.
    • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
    • Monitor supplier performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management.
  2. Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as ISO 9001, and other relevant quality standards.
    • Work closely with the procurement team to integrate quality requirements into supplier contracts and agreements.
    • Develop and maintain quality documentation, including quality manuals, procedures, and work instructions related to supplier quality.
  3. Continuous Improvement:
    • Lead initiatives to improve supplier quality processes and systems.
    • Implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance supplier performance and reduce defects.
    • Facilitate training and development programs for suppliers to enhance their quality management capabilities.
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with internal departments, including procurement, engineering, and production, to ensure seamless integration of quality requirements throughout the supply chain.
    • Serve as a key point of contact for suppliers regarding quality-related matters and facilitate effective communication between suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  5. Risk Management:
    • Identify and mitigate quality risks associated with supplier performance.
    • Develop contingency plans to address potential supply chain disruptions and ensure business continuity.

The Successful Applicant

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supplier quality management role, preferably in the construction, manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Certifications: Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
    • Proficiency in conducting supplier audits and assessments.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
