*Direct and oversee strategic sourcing projects, prioritizing and delegating across AP purchasing personnel
*Support Operations/Engineering on capital projects analysis and spending
*Management of the operations, strategic sourcing and supplier quality teams in AP.
*Development of analytical tools to assess supply base trends, risks, cost drivers, etc.
*Oversee commodity & service contract negotiations of key AP spend items
*Development of sub-category teams to drive savings
*Continuous improvement and optimization of procurement SOP's
*Achieve cost savings through target costing, value analysis and material group management
*Understand industry and technology developments, being ahead of potential disruptive factors
*Oversee supplier assessments, including supplier audits and scorecards
*Work with R&D to expand both material and supplier alternatives in an effort to reduce costs or simplify supply chain complexity
*Support of global initiatives - LSS, risk assessments, ISO, Safety, Sustainability, etc.
*Ownership of Purchasing KPI's

*Demonstrated experience in a large global company
*Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
*10 years progressive Purchasing and leadership experience in manufacturing environment
*Experience hiring, training and developing purchasing organizations.
*Ability to develop cost savings strategies, preferably using Lean SS methodology
*Knowledge with large ERP systems
*Experience with or exposure to Pulp & Paper, electrical equipment, wood and board processing, environmental protection equipment industry is a plus
*Understanding and ability to lead budget development and management
*Strong communication skills, written and spoken
*Effective relationship building and negotiation abilities
*Detail-oriented and successful time management skills
*Entrepreneurial thinking and acting
*Fluent in English language required
