Responsibility for all sales activities in China within the designated geographic area and for the development of profitable China sales and servicing operation for fluids and equipment. This individual serves as a lead metalworking fluids sales professional in the metalworking market with distributors, District Sales Managers, Service Engineers, and customers.

Job Description

1. Manages China sales and servicing operations in the designated geographic area for fluids and equipment including cost, profit, goals, and growth factors in a manner beneficial to overall Corporate objectives

2. Identifies and qualifies new business opportunities/new customer opportunities in the metalworking industry

3. Develops and maintains good relationships with assigned District Sales Managers, Service Engineers, distributors, and customers, including frequent joint sales/service calls made to customers with District Sales Managers, Service Engineers, and/or distributor sales personnel

4. Manages regional personnel including recommendations for hiring, scheduling of training, performance evaluations, and promotions

5. Evaluates and forecasts market trends and needs

6. Develops sales forecasts, target accounts, and distributor business plans

7. Increases sales through effective marketing, sales, and service of the Corporation's products and proper management of distributor activities.

8. Maintains frequent and complete communication on regional activity with Corporate office personnel, District Sales Managers, and distributors

9. Maintains frequent and complete communication with customers, District Sales Managers, Service Engineers, Distributors, and Corporate office personnel as appropriate, including technical communications with the laboratory, tech line, and marketing (competitive activity, target accounts status, customer preference, trends, etc.)

10. Builds relationships at all levels to meet new business target goals

11. Continually communicates, negotiates, and closes new business deals

12. Assists the China Commercial Director in the overall development of the region, including target account selection and development, maintaining contact and good relations with machine tool builders

13. Complies with the Corporation's policies in respect to travel, expenses, and all reporting functions

14. Assists and mentors the District Sales Managers in the overall development of the district, including target account selection and development, maintaining contact and good relations with machine tool builders

15. Supports the Premier Distributor and AD programs with effective training and communication

16. Effectively manages their pipeline, large and target customer base, distribution network, and prioritizes time by utilizing the District Sales Manager's Territory Analysis tools. Manages new product and cleaner sales revenue and percentages, product, customer mix, and utilizes the provided forecasting tools

17. Develops and maintains working knowledge of all fluids and system products sold and serviced by the Corporation

1. Valid bachelor's degree with engineering background or business administration.
2. This position requires travel, often overnight, and requires international travel.

 Sales Qualities
1. Seven or more years' experience in channel sales or direct sales in Metalworking Fluids/Chemical, Lubricant, Machine, or Tool Industrials. At least 5 years in leadership role.
2. Above 5 years' B2B sales experience in related industry.
3. Sensitive with market challenges and have the ability to identify and qualify new business opportunities/new customer and distributor opportunities in the marketplace.
4. Value selling skill

 Technical Knowledge
1. Strong Technical knowledge combined with C-article products selling skills.
2. Ability to explain technical products with focus on machining and technical customer support.
3. Knowledge of Standard Workflow: Order processing (internal/external), organizational and operational structure.
4. Proficiency in OFFICE software includes but is not limited to CRM Module, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and e-business knowledge.
5. Basic cost analysis knowledge.
