This is a senior finance l*eadership role in a l*eading life sciences company, directly reporting to global controller. The position oversees financial operations across multiple Asian markets and leads a sizable regional team to drive compliance, efficiency, and strategic growth.

Job Description

  • Ensure financial statements comply with US GAAP, local statutory requirements, SOX, and internal control policies.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance and policy support to the accounting team.
  • Oversee daily general ledger activities, including inventory, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, accruals, and lease accounting under ASC 842.
  • Manage revenue recognition compliance per ASC 606, including contract review and documentation.
  • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare consolidated financial reports and support external reporting requirements.
  • Supervise AR and AP operations to ensure accurate billing, collections, and timely payments.
  • Drive process improvements in accounting operations and internal controls.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification required.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in public companies or public accounting firms.
  • Strong command of US GAAP and financial reporting, with hands-on experience in SAP, U8, and advanced Excel.
  • Proven ability to lead a sizable accounting team and manage complex regional operations.
  • Demonstrated success in process optimization, internal control enhancement, and SOX compliance.
  • Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a global, matrixed environment.
