Job Description 50% - Quality Oversight of R&D GxP Activities* Review and approve R&D documentation related to GxP activities, including but not limited to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), batch records, protocols, reports, specifications, and test reports. * Support R&D teams by ensuring data integrity, conducting root cause analyses, and driving effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to promote consistent product quality and sustainable compliance. * Ensure R&D operations comply with GMP and other relevant scientific practices, providing guidance on good practices for quality assurance. * Establish and maintain a risk-based Quality Management System (QMS) tailored for R&D processes. * Identify and escalate critical quality issues to senior management in a timely and appropriate manner.40% - Stakeholder Engagement and Strategic Influence* Serve as a quality advocate within R&D, working to influence and drive alignment with the broader R&D quality strategy across all teams and functions. * Represent the R&D Quality function on cross-functional project teams and quality initiatives, providing expert input to ensure alignment with regulatory and business objectives. * Collaborate with R&D leadership to integrate quality considerations into development strategies, ensuring product innovation aligns with GxP compliance and business goals. * Review and approve documentation for new product launches and line extensions, ensuring all regulatory and quality requirements are met.10% - Auditing and Compliance Activities* Lead and conduct internal and external quality audits of R&D processes and systems, ensuring alignment with internal policies and external regulatory standards. * Act as the R&D Quality representative during internal audits and regulatory inspections, coordinating responses and ensuring timely and thorough resolution of any findings or observations. * Oversee and manage corrective actions resulting from audits and inspections, ensuring responses are satisfactory and completed within designated timeframes. The Successful Applicant * Bachelor's or advanced degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Engineering). * Extensive experience in a quality-related role within the FMCG, pharmaceutical, or related industry, particularly in an R&D environment. * Strong knowledge of GxP, GMP, and other relevant quality regulations and standards. * Demonstrated experience with risk-based quality management systems. * Expertise from R&D, manufacturing or process development experience is required. * Experience in a GMP regulated environment preferred. * Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and drive quality initiatives. * Experience in regulatory inspections, audits, and CAPA management. * Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
