The Product Development Manager is managing end-to-end product development, driving pricing strategies, across assigned regions aligned with our sustainability policy. Acting as a key interface between HQ and regional suppliers, this position plays a critical role in delivering innovative, cost-efficient, and high-quality products while managing supplier capability development.

Job Description

1. Product Development

*Manage regional product development activities in alignment with HQ briefs, timelines, and pricing strategies.

*Coordinate and check all tech specifications, fabric briefs, colour developments, and accessory requirements before submission to HQ.

*Ensure all developments follow standardized SOPs and updating in PLM to maintain consistency, quality, and efficiency

*Develop and manage Time & Action (T&A) plans for all launch projects to ensure on-time delivery.

*Allocate development work based on suppliers' capability, capacity and sustainability standards.

*Manage the development, evaluation, and approval of proto and size-set samples, the commercial samples ( eg: photo shoot samples , sales samples, fair samples, etc. ) prior to HQ submission.

*Cross-verify with fabric manager fabric technical information and ensure accuracy of all development documentation.

*Be the point of contact of local suppliers in terms of all product development related topics and coordinate between HQ PD and the suppliers.

*Work in ST/ST PLM system for garment development

*Evaluate and propose better options in terms of workmanship, constructions , price and quality from beginning to end of the product development.

*To be present at the suppliers at critical times of development, sampling , and production

*Make sure the decoration requirements of ST/ST will be reflected to the suppliers and will be integrated into the product development

*Following up that the testing / quality requirements are followed at the suppliers for all products2. Pricing & Cost Management

*Manage pricing negotiations with garment factories.

*Maintain and continuously improve the pricing database, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and actionability of all data in PLM.

*Collecting pricing data, market trends, and supplier performance to manage informed sourcing and development

*Ensure full alignment with short-term and seasonal pricing policies.3. Innovation & Newness

*Proactively identify and propose innovative fabrics, yarns, trims, and products in line with market trends and respecting our sustainability standards.

*Provide HQ with curated selections of new materials and developments tailored to each seasonal brief.

*Manage new yarn and fabric development projects with existing and new mills.4. Quality, Risk & Bulk Production

*Drive seasonal product risk solution in coordination with HQ and local team.

*Ensure early identification and mitigation of potential quality, delivery, or compliance risks.

*Manage approvals for style in coordination with HQ Product Development and Commercial teams.

*Ensure timely launch and bulk production deliveries with planning teams.

*Oversee mini-bulk approvals for launch orders, reallocations, and renewals within defined timelines.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Product Development Manager should have:

*Solid performance of product development, materials, and manufacturing processes

*Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret pricing and performance data

*Advanced product development capability across outerwear and athleisure categories

*Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional communication skills

*Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines

*High level of attention to detail, process discipline, and SOP compliance

*Willingness to travel frequently within sourcing regions
