The center employs approximately 250 scientists, more than half of whom hold PhD degrees, and has generated over 360 invention patents, with multiple drug candidates successfully advanced into clinical development.

Job Description

  • Lead strategy and development of AI/ML platforms for antibody design & optimization
  • Build and refine SOTA deep learning models (Transformers, GNNs, diffusion models, LLMs, multimodal architectures)
  • Develop pipelines for:
    • Protein structure & complex prediction (e.g., AlphaFold3)
    • Affinity prediction & sequence optimization (e.g., AlphaBind, Rosetta)
    • Sequence design (ProteinMPNN / AbMPNN)
    • De novo antibody generation (RFdiffusion, Chai‑1/2)
  • Drive AI ↔ wet‑lab closed-loop workflows, working directly with high‑throughput screening, DMS/NGS, and biophysical assay teams
  • Lead cross‑functional programs with antibody engineers, bioinformaticians, and platform engineers
  • Mentor junior scientists and help establish standardized AI infrastructure (MLOps, HPC, Cloud)

The Successful Applicant

  • Ph.D. in ML/CS/Computational Biology/Structural Biology/Bioinformatics/Biophysics/Chemistry
  • 7+ years post‑PhD industry experience in AI-driven biologics or antibody discovery
  • Strong expertise in deep learning (PyTorch/TensorFlow) and modern AI architectures
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Structure prediction
    • Antigen-antibody interaction models
    • Sequence/structure optimization
    • Diffusion or foundation models for protein/antibody design
  • Proven track record working closely with wet‑lab, high‑throughput, or automated experimental platforms
  • Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin
  • Collaborative, innovation-driven, and comfortable in a fast-paced R&D setting
