Job Description

  • Preeminent research projects in neuroscience and establishing new methodologies.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance drug discovery projects.
  • Conducting detailed analysis of research data and presenting findings in scientific meetings.
  • Writing research papers, reports, reviews and summaries.
  • Keeping up-to-date with relevant scientific and technical developments.
  • Ensuring that work is performed in accordance with appropriate safety and compliance standards.
  • Mentoring and supervising junior staff in the life science division.
  • Contributing to the overall strategy and goals of the life science division.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Neuroscience Principal Scientist should have:

  • Ph.D. with expertise in multiple neuroscience areas, including but not limited to HD, ALS, FTD, and CMT.
  • 3 ~ 5 years in academic and/or industry settings is desirable.
  • Highly experienced with iPSC culture, neuronal differentiation and culture, confocal microscopy/high-content imaging, and MEA. Work in neurospheres and/or organoids is a plus.
  • Deep knowledge of neurodegenerative disease models. Experience with in vivo behavioral assessments is a plus.
  • Experience with RNA-seq library preparation and familiarity with omics-data analysis is a plus.
  • Proven track record of research productivity, innovation, and teamwork/collaboration.
