As the China GM, your primary responsibility will be leading the China subsidiary and directly reports to the HQ President. You will be performance and target oriented. Besides the GM function you will also be working as an Area Sales Manager (about 30%) in Shanghai and supports the other Area Sales Managers. Your sales and cost budget will be part of the annual planning and subject to negotiation with the Executive Director.

- Lead the company's China subsidiary
- Establish and maintain an adequate Sales and Service organisation
- Watch and monitor the market developments
- Develop and realize a market strategy in accordance with the HQ and the Budget
- Work out and follow the annual income and cost Budget
- Manage the office partners
- Manage Taiwan and South-Korea market
- Setup, maintain and communicate appropriate Management review systems
- Organize and control a risk management system in accordance with the HQ
- Setup and control the annual marketing budget
- Establish a fair and transparent performance oriented salary system
- Act according to law and order
- Monitor and apply legal requirements
As a successful candidate, you are expected to have the following:
Ideally coming from the metal cutting industry (cutting tools, tool holders, cutting fluids, CNC machines, etc)
- Team leader qualities
- High loyalty to the Company
- Familiar with Western culture
- Familiar with metal cutting branch and the metal cutting industry
- Good English language skills in both, oral and in writing
- Open minded, friendly behaviour
- Willing and capable to set and work with targets
- Good knowledge of our specific branch and its distribution networks (connections)
- Technical background (ideally with practical experience in cutting); cutting tool specialist
- Self driven and result oriented
- Strong analytic thinking capabilities (Trouble shooting mine set)
- Used to be daily on the road (willing to travel to Switzerland from time to time)
- High personal integrity
