Job Description

Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Market Development
Define and implement the company's long-term strategic vision in China, ensuring full alignment with global corporate goals.
Guide market expansion efforts, encompassing partnership development, product portfolio refinement, and the formulation of regional business growth strategies.
Represent the company in high-level negotiations with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), strategic partners, and government authorities.
Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with Chinese and international OEMs, distributors, and stakeholders to underpin business growth.
Manage and optimize the sales agent and partner network to guarantee comprehensive market coverage and drive revenue growth.
2. Plant Operations & Customer Project Execution
Oversee the establishment, maintenance, and optimization of the production facility, including infrastructure, equipment, and operational preparedness.
Ensure efficient day-to-day plant operations, with a focus on enhancing productivity, upholding quality standards, meeting on-time delivery targets, and improving cost-effectiveness.
Oversee the execution of customer projects-including industrialization, process validation, and seamless launch management-to adhere to program timelines and quality requirements.
Drive the implementation of corporate processes, standards, and systems to achieve operational excellence.
3. Financial Management & Risk Control
Assume full profit and loss (P&L) accountability for the company's legal entity in China.
Prepare, manage, and monitor annual budgets, financial forecasts, and capital expenditure plans to meet financial objectives.
Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), and take proactive actions to address deviations from targets.
Identify and mitigate operational, financial, and strategic risks to ensure business continuity and maintain profitability.
4. Compliance, Quality & Safety
Ensure compliance with Chinese labor laws, safety regulations, environmental standards, and corporate governance requirements.
Maintain adherence to the company's global quality standards and customer-specific requirements.
Foster a strong health, safety, and environmental (HSE) culture throughout the plant.
5. People Leadership & Culture
Build, guide, and inspire a high-performing local leadership team and workforce.
Drive recruitment, training, talent development, and succession planning initiatives to support sustainable business growth.
Promote and embed the company's corporate culture, core values, and ethical principles within the organization.
Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and performance-oriented work environment.

The Successful Applicant

Key Qualifications & Skills
1. Industry & Leadership Experience
Minimum 10 years of experience in the automotive supplier or OEM industry, with a track record in senior leadership roles and proven success in managing a full-scale production plant in China.
2. Market Expansion & Customer Wins
Demonstrated ability to open new markets, secure major OEM programs, and increase regional market share. Proficiency in building strong relationships with customers and government entities to support long-term growth.
3. Operations, Industrialization & Launch Excellence
Hands-on experience guiding industrialization programs, delivering seamless new product launches, and resolving escalated customer quality issues quickly and effectively.
4. Quality Systems & Compliance
In-depth knowledge of automotive quality standards, including IATF 16949, APQP/PPAP, and readiness to support customer and third-party audits. Strong commitment to compliance, governance, and ethical decision-making.
5. Financial Discipline
Proven ability to manage P&L, control costs, and drive KPI-based performance improvements to achieve sustainable profitability.
6. Commercial & Negotiation Skills
Excellent ability to facilitate high-level negotiations with OEMs, suppliers, and government entities while maintaining transparency and credibility.
7. Language Skills
Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin is highly desirable.
