This is an established organisation within the industrial and manufacturing sector, known for its expertise in delivering high quality products to its clients. Based in Hangzhou, the company operates on a global scale.

Job Description

  • Provides seasonal fabric directions from mills and blockbusters / production fabrics of other clients.
  • Study forecast on WGSN etc. and present fabric trend report/books for upcoming seasons to design offices.
  • Conducts new mill research, Assesses existing and new vendor for a sourcing matrix.
  • Market fabric intel. - Identifies new fabric opportunities / cost drivers and represent fabrics with design offices regularly.
  • Work across departments to construct and maintain a core fabric matrix with corresponding costs.
  • Reviewing Trend reports and recommending fabric collections against it within the timeline.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Fabric Sourcing Manager should have:

  • A strong background in fabric sourcing and procurement within the industrial and manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of fabric design, fabric, yarns, knit, woven construction, and print techniques, and global fabric trends .
  • Knowledge of time and action calendars. Have a sense of urgency in managing time and accomplishing task.
  • Experience working with suppliers and negotiating terms effectively.
  • Knowledge of quality standards and compliance regulations for fabrics.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
