Job Description

1. Economic and Engineering Analysis:

Monitor and analyze economic trends, policies, and market conditions in the assigned city.

Provide comprehensive reports on economic opportunities, challenges, and potential collaborations.

Establish connections with local business communities, chambers of commerce, and economic influencers.

2. Political Insights:

Stay informed on political developments, policies, and government initiatives in the assigned city.

Conduct analysis on political landscapes, potential risks, and opportunities for diplomatic engagement.

Engage with local government officials, think tanks, and political influencers.

3. Regional Background:

Possess a deep understanding and background in the cultural and economic dynamics of the assigned province.

Leverage local insights to enhance diplomatic strategies and foster effective communication.

4. Regular Briefings and Reporting:

Provide regular and comprehensive briefings to the Embassy in Beijing on economic, political, and cultural developments.

Demonstrate proficiency in working with detailed reports, highlighting key issues and potential areas of cooperation.

Collaborate with other specialists across China to ensure a cohesive understanding of nationwide trends.

Establish a direct reporting mechanism to facilitate streamlined communication between the Consulates and the Embassy.

5. Key Events and Participation:

Inform the Embassy promptly about key local events, conferences, and participation opportunities.

Coordinate the Embassy's involvement in significant local gatherings, ensuring a strong diplomatic presence.

The Successful Applicant

PhD in Economics or related fields.
Proven experience in economic analysis, preferably in a diplomatic or international setting.
Strong networking skills with the ability to build relationships with government officials, business leaders, and media representatives.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin.
Cultural awareness and sensitivity, with a keen understanding of both Emirate and Chinese cultures.
Experience in working with reports and a background in international big firms
