Source and procure products in the following categories: DIY, hard goods, Power tools, hand tools, Sports leisure, BBQ, outdoor furniture and Seasonal lighting, etc. Work closely with buyers, quality assurance, and other departments to ensure seamless operations. Negotiate favourable terms with suppliers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality. Manage a team of up to 10 procurement professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve team goals. Maintain strong communication skills, to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Stay updated on market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, with a proven track record in managing multiple product categories. In-depth knowledge of the overseas retail market, including consumer trends and supplier networks. Fluent in English, both spoken and written. Additional languages are a plus. Experience managing a team of up to 10 professionals, with a focus on leadership and development. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Ability to analyse market data and make informed decisions to optimise procurement processes.
