Job Description

Reporting regionally, the China Country Manager will be tasked with developing and expanding the companies brand and overall China footprint.

The role will:

  • Grow sales (volume & value mix), market share and weighted distribution within scope.
  • Drive strategic commercial plans including but not limited to geo-expansion, direct-to-consumer, cross-category promotions, distributor management, trade engagement/loyalty, promotion adherence, etc.
  • Build integrated business plans to drive sales within scope and engage all stakeholders for execution.
  • Build the brand name to give consumers compelling reasons to choose our brand over competing brands.
  • Develop/Execute tactical programs to support both Marketing and Sales objectives and expand distribution channels.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor and/or assess industry's regulatory changes as well as competitive activities and their impact to the company.

The Successful Applicant

To qualify for this position you need to meet the following criteria:

  • You must have a strong FMCG background coming from a global MNC combined with a true entrepreneurial spirit
  • Experience in Food and/or beverage products is an important criteria for this role
  • Prior experience managing China distributors is essential for this position
  • Current relationships with global/region/local F&B chains would be ideal
  • A B2B sales background into HORECA channels is key; B2C retail and ecommerce experience
  • A passion for ESG, sustainable products, plant based foods would be a real advantage in this role
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin is a must

Other key criteria would include:

  • Self starter and highly independent
  • Interested in a start-up environment
  • Able and willing to work remotely or from a co-working space
