The Business Unit Head will carry full end-to-end responsibility for the Passenger Car business in China, with a target acquisition approximately EUR 15 million year on year.The position oversees R&D, Program Management, and Sales teams and is expected to act as a strategic bridge between global product strategy and China customer needs, particularly with Chinese OEMs and NEV manufacturers.

About Our Client

Our client is a global Tier 1 automotive components group with 25 years+ China footprint.

Job Description

Define and execute the China Passenger Car business and product strategy, aligned with global objectives

Full P&L ownership for the China Passenger Car business

Lead integrated cross-functional teams across R&D, project management, and sales (30+ team members)

Drive new product entry (NPE/NPI) for the China market, from early concept definition through development, localization, and SOP

Ensure strong technology selection, product positioning, and portfolio, matching fast-evolving China OEM requirements

Actively guide and challenge local R&D teams on engineering direction, technical solutions, and innovation priorities

Build deep, trust-based partnerships with Chinese OEMs, with particular focus on NEV platforms and next-generation vehicle architectures

Serve as a core contributor to the global passenger car leadership team, influencing global product and technology decisions

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree or above in engineering; advanced degree preferred

Fluent English (working language with global leadership)

Proven leadership experience managing multi-functional organizations of 20+ people

Demonstrated track record of successful new product introduction into the China automotive market

Strong understanding of product development cycles, platform strategies, and China OEM decision logic

Hands-on experience working with Chinese OEMs, especially NEV-focused manufacturers

Clear technical judgment and product sensitivity, able to guide R&D direction rather than purely relying on specialists

Comfortable operating in a global matrix organization, balancing global standards with local agility

Ideally young potential BU Head with expertise and growth passion in automotive tier 1 BU management
